The online science courses for homeschool students offered by Real Science 4 Kids often focus mainly on elementary and middle school levels. But for the Spring 2012 semester, we’re offering a second semester class aimed at home school high students – Chemistry II.
This class is being taught by Dr. Donald Calbreath (affectionately referred to as “Dr. C” by most of his students), who has a Ph.D in biochemistry and post-doctoral research experience at Duke University under his belt.
Chemistry II, Semester 2, is aimed at students aged 14 and older who have experienced a prior semester of chemistry instruction through Real Science 4 Kids or a comparable program. Students will be exposed to chemistry at a higher level through this course, learning such subjects as Thermodynamics, Oxidation and Reduction Processes, Biological Polymers and Nuclear Chemistry – topics that are generally beyond the teaching capability of homeschool instructors.
